Cause:
On Purchase receipt confirmation, if the system shows the error ‘VTPRDFIN Period not open for financials’ or ‘ Please check the date you have entered. Probably, the date falls under the period whose financial transactions are already closed’.This means the Finance period is closed for Purchase receipt Finance period.
Solutions:
On Purchase receipt confirmation, amount and tax gets posted in Finance accounting hence the Finance period must be open for that record confirmation and posting. Users should ensure that the Finance status is set as ‘Yes’ for that particular period in period status.
The System has the provision to open the period definitions for that particular site in Period Status. Period status exists in System -> System Setup -> Masters -> Period status.
