Why do we get the following error ‘Maybe Near Expiry or Expiry Product’ while Posting Order ?

Cause: System shows this error in posting log when in sale order detail minimum shelf life has crossed the minimum shelf entered in the Customer item master and lot exp date is close to the date of expiry, which falls under near expiry. Hence items order posting is unsuccessful. It can be that users have edited and reduced the shelf life of the item in customer item master.

Remedies: Users can change in the Item master and Customer Item Master and enter the correct Minimum shelf life of the item. Users can ensure the lots selected in despatch does not come under near expiry.

Note : Minimum shelf life of the product to be checked before invoicing it to the customer. The system will check first in the customer item master (in months).Also in Item Lot Packsize master, Minimum shelf life of the product (in months) to be checked before invoicing it to the customer. Expiry Date should be set from stock.

Example : If Sales Order is raised on 4 Jun 20 in the item details min shelf life is 8 and lot exp date is 28 Feb 21. Then that batch falls under near expiry while posting.
