Cause: System will not allow you to create Sales transactions if the period status is not defined in the period status master for that particular site. System will show the error ‘Period not defined for Sales’ on the next button of the header.
Remedies: User should goto System, System setup, and in period status form user should select the period for which the Sales record is been created. User should search the same site record. Users can then edit the record and select ‘yes’ for status Sales and click on Finish.
After this System will allow the creation of the Sales transaction.
For Period Status screen: Goto System-> System Setup->Masters-> Period Status.
