Cause: System shows the error ‘Exchange Rate must be valid’ issue while contract release is because the exchange rate is not updated in daily exchange rate master.
Suggestions :
Users should ensure the exchange rate in the Sales contract is valid. User should ensure that, the Daily exchange rate master should have the exchange rate for that particular transaction date.Exchange Rate is the exchange rate of the currency to base currency. Default is taken from the daily exchange rate master. and It is mandatory in the Contract. Afterwards users should do the Sales Contract Release .
Sales Contract Release screen exists in SCM-> Sales -> Sales Contract menu. User has to select the contract number and enter the quantity to be released against the item codes and click the get data button to release.
