Why does the Sales order show the message ‘Inactive item’ on the done button?

Cause:
In the Sales order details screen, Users have to select the code of the item being sold. The item code is present in Item master but it is active. So when the user clicks on the done button system shows the message ‘Inactive item, Item not active hence cannot be ordered’.
Suggestions:
In the Sales order details screen, The code of the item being sold should be selected. Users can specify the code of the configured product code in this place to take order for a configured to order item. If you specify a scheme code or a configured product code, System will issue the items specified in the definition of the scheme (bill of material) for this scheme or configured product code .The item code must be present in Item master and should be active.
