Suggestion:
System has the facility to hold and release item by using Hold/Release Inventory menu. This menu exists in SCM, Warehouse Management, Hold/Release Inventory, Hold Inventory.
User has to select the role code and lock code in the header of hold Inventory screen. In the details user need to enter Item, Site code, Location code and Lot number of the item which needs to be holded. Same way in the Release Hold Inventory screen, users have to enter the hold transaction number and line number to release the record which is holded. Release Hold Inventory menu exists in SCM, Warehouse Management, Hold/Release Inventory, Release Hold Inventory.
