Data source is a description of source where data is available for the Insight to connect and extract data. It can be a relational database, data lake, big data database, rest api or flat file.
Insight supports a lot of databases vendors to connect
While creating a connection it requires all the information required for the system to be able to establish connection with the database. The mandatory information required for different database can be different. The form highlights required information while defining connection properties.
Key information required for most databases
-Database url/ip
-User ID
-Password
Each connection is identified and referred by a Connection Name.
