Proteus Vision ERP maintains inventory by following key attributes
-Site
-Item
-Location
-Lot Number (typically assigned a unique lot number for each supplier manufacturing lot or batch number)
-Lot Serial (Each serial number of the item, can be specific sererialized item or container number or bale number)
The extended attributes can further be specified for a lot
-Grade
-Manufacturing Date
-Expiry Date
-Potency
-Supplier batch or lot number
-Dimension in terms of length x width x height
It is configurable in item master to define how the stock is to be maintained at broad level
-Not to maintain stock
-Maintain stock by item
-Maintain stock by lot
When it is maintained by lot, system by default extends it to the lot serial
The stock records have information on quantity in standard unit of measure and allocation quantity. Allocation quantity refers to quantity reserved for some purpose or a entry against the stock record is done which is not yet confirmed.
