What are the different stock options in item master?

Suggestions:
In Item master, stock option is a mandatory field, it’s a predefined flag for Inventory control. Possible values are 0 – No stock maintenance, 1 – Item wise stock maintenance and 2 – Lot wise stock maintenance.
If an item is with no stock maintenance, then it is for service-related activity. For this an item(service) can be created with the stock option as ‘0’ flag for Inventory control. 0 value is for ‘No stock maintenance’ for service orders.
No stock maintenance, These are items that you buy and sell, but we don’t have to keep track of.

If an item is with stock option as Item wise stock maintenance, then it is for item with serial number. For this an item can be created with the stock option as ‘1’ flag for Inventory control.
If an item is with stock option as Lot wise stock maintenance, then it is for items with lot number and serial number. For this an item can be created with the stock option as ‘2’ flag for Inventory control.
These are product items with flag 1 and 2 are that you want to count and track. When you buy and sell these items, the number in stock is increased or reduced. You can also report on all the activity of your stock items.
