Is there any condition for shelf life type value in site items? Ok

Yes, System has a validation for shelf life type when we define a site item. That is, the shelf life type should be the same as the shelf life type defined in the item master. If both are different then the system will give an error as ‘shelf life type does not match in the item master’.
There are two shelf life types: 1) expiry date , items expire at expiration date, when material is unfit for use.
and 2) retest date, items can be extended by either visual inspection or laboratory test.
Please note shelf life type cannot be different for the same item in other sites. Sales and stock is controlled on the basis of shelf life.
