Proteus Vision ERP has a extensive list of masters to define various entities such as business partners, items/SKU, products, organization units and thousands such. Even though it is comprehensive for most business there are use case when a specific business may like to create a master against a column which does not have a master. In such case a Generalised Business Rule of Master type can be created on the fly in Vision ERP.

Apart from code and description it supports 5 user defined fields which can be used to store additional attributes for the master. The purpose for which these user defined fields are used can be specified in Generalised Master.
