Why does expired stock appear in Goods In Transit reports?

In the system, GIT is called as Goods In Transit when the item is used in distribution. It is the goods that have departed from the distribution issue, loading, or shipping point but have not yet arrived at the receipt, offloading, or delivery point. Also called in transit Inventory or stock in transit. Sometimes the records of distribution receipts remain unconfirmed which makes the items remain in transit even after the item is expired. Hence the expired stock appears in GIT.
