What is GIT logic in Inventory?

In the system, GIT is called as Goods In Transit when the item is used in distribution. It is the goods that have departed from the distribution issue, loading, or shipping point but have not yet arrived at the receipt, offloading, or delivery point. Also called in transit Inventory or stock in transit.
Users have to define the Loc Code Goods In Transit in distribution order type master. Enter the default location code when the goods are in transit. It can be selected from the pophelp for Location master.
Enter the Transit brought forward location also.
In distribution order type, If Loc Code Git Protect indicates whether Location code for goods in transit is editable or not in the distribution order. If Yes then the Location code for goods in transit cannot be changed. If not then it can be changed.
In the distribution order type, Protect Transit Logical brought forward location needs to be selected, Protect indicates whether Location code for goods in transit B/F is editable or not in the distribution order. If Yes then the Location code for goods in transit B/F cannot be changed. If not then it can be changed.
